American Girl Boutique & Bistro

On December 29th Brandy Ragsdale and I took our girls, Carlie and Presley, to Atlanta for lunch with their new American Girls.

They were so cute with Mia and Nikki sitting in the high chairs on the table!

It is so cute that they give the dolls their own menus too! Carlie was thoroughly impressed!

The food was REALLY good too. I figured it was kinda like Disney World...you definitely don't eat at those character dinners for the food! But American Girl was every little girls dream, and the lunch was fabulous! Carlie had a raw veggie tray for her appetizer and fettuccine alfredo for her entree. I had spinach artichoke dip (maybe the best I've ever had) and a chicken pesto panini. It was all very good. We were too full for dessert, but they looked delicious!
The girls were finished. And Carlie was ready to spend her Christmas money from YaYa and Gramma! They started acting silly. They took their star shaped napkin rings and pretend to be sherriffs! These two have quite the imagination!

They were cracking themselves up!

Carlie got to shopping in a hurry! She managed to spend every dime of her $200! She's a little like her mama! She bought a snowboard and snowsuit. A ballet outfit. A coconut outfit. The dog, Coconut. And I can't even remember what else!

We took the girls to a couple of other stores before leaving the mall. That's when they saw the carousel. They were cracking us up. Presley was nervous about riding it without her mom. Brandy and I were giggling about how she had a "death grip" on the pole. Carlie was acting like her normal daredevil self. She chose to ride a tiger. Then when I wanted to take a picture, she leaned up and put her hand in the tigers mouth!!! She's a hoot! After about the second go-round, Pres was still white knuckling her horse and Carlie was riding side saddle and waving WITH BOTH HANDS!! It's a thousand wonders she didn't go flying off that crazy merry go round! I'm sure she would've thought that was "so cool"!

How funny is my girl?

If you look in the background on the left side you can see Presley. The carousel isn't moving yet and she is holding on tight with both hands!! She is such a sweetie. Maybe her cautiousness with rub off on my "Chiquita". It's doubtful. But we can hope, right?

  1. That is hilarious! I know Brandy too. She is who invited my husband to church where I met him. I haven't seen her in a loooong time. Small world, huh? I can't wait to take Bryce to all kind of fun places. (probably, not American girl) lol. You take great pictures, I bet you have some incredible ones of them that you have taken! Tell Brandy that I said, "HI!" and that she needs to join the world of blogging. We can chat! Dawn and Brandy were practically sisters in high school. Tell her to be nice or we will spill the dirt on her. Actually she could too, so I had better shut up...lol..
