Excuse me, did you say mono?

I want to know how in the world the doctor thinks I have mono! Yep. Me! Not Carlie. No, not the one with the sore neck and swollen glands. But me! I don't have the first symptom of mono! No sore throat, nada. The only reason the doctor even checked me for mono was because she was sure Carlie had it and wanted to make sure I didn't! I was there for my sinus problems! When she did my cbc in the office my white count (I think it was white) was on the very low end of the "normal" range. I attributed that to the sinus infection I had.
So, Carlie doesn't have it. Who knows what she had. The doctor had ruled everything out except for mono. Now that is negative too. I don't care what it was, as long as it's gone!
However, I had to get Cam from school early today. He has a low grade fever and nausea. He's taking a nap right now. I hope he doesn't have it (whatever "it" is).
So I guess I'm going to look up mono on wikipedia and figure out exactly what is going on with me. The doctor said that mono has an incubation period of 30-50 days! Is that not crazy? I could've picked this up at the first of the year! Still, I think they are wrong. How can I have mono????

Sounds to me like Cam just had the bug going around. Unless his temp gets way up. I would just go ahead and treat Carli for the mono and ignore the weirdness of it all. You may have been the asymptomatic carrier. You could have had it when you were younger and thought that it was strep. She has mono!

I think she does too! I wondered if they switched our tests too. I was standing next to the lab when the timers went off. A different lab tech got them. She was trying to figure out who was Courtney and who was Carlie. I bet they were switched!
