Friday Randomness

By the time Friday finally arrives I do good to put together a cohesive thought. So here are several cohesion-free thoughts....

Our high school football team kicked off its season on Thursday night in a 14-13 heartbreaking loss. Missed PATs will kill you. Respect the kicker. Regardless of the score, my kids looked darn cute in their Valley Cub attire.

After a tough year of battling and defeating lung cancer, Britt's dad turned 61 yesterday. We celebrated at a restaurant in town with Britt's dad, his dad's girlfriend, our kids, Britt's sister, and her daughters. We also had fresh Wahoo served over polenta topped with a corn and crawfish sauce. That is a celebration in itself. Happy Birthday Paw! We love you!

Cam took this picture of me and my Bentley baby today. I love this dog more today than I did yesterday. And much more than I ever thought I would ever love an animal. Now I understand why people mourn for a week in isolation after losing a pet. I am so going to be one of those people. Just look at him. How could you not be totally in love with that sweet face?

Carlie loves our Bentley too. Almost as much as she loves her bubble gum pink Chuck Taylors with the black peace sign laces and tube socks from Justice.

Have a good weekend. We are going to try to have a restful one before Cam's football games start.

Sometime next week will be my 100th post! I can't believe I've been blogging over a year now! I'm not sure what I'm going to do in celebration of the 100 times I have shared my insightful wisdom with the world. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
