Have you ever noticed how much work it requires just to take a trip? It requires so much work for Britt and me to both go out of town that it almost isn't worth it. Notice I said "almost". The minute I get on that plane everything slows down...it's just making it to that point!
Britt is leaving tomorrow which means I have to work like a mad woman today! Pick up dry cleaning. Wash clothes. Pack clothes....yes ladies, I have to do this. Buy any toiletries that he's running low on. Check him in online. Print airline ticket. And anything else he thinks he needs...
I know he has a ton of stuff to do at work. That is why it's my job to do the rest. But since I'm going too it's just a nightmare! Not only does all my dry cleaning, washing, toiletry buying, packing, etc. etc. have to be done too, but I have to make sure the kids have everything they need for the rest of the week!
First is the logistical nightmare. Including, but not limited to, making sure Carlie can ride to dance with a friend, getting them both to and from church on Wednesday night, making sure Cam can get to Justin's to study on Thursday. Then making sure they have all of their clothes picked out and ironed (for those of you who do not know, Carlie is extraordinarily difficult when it comes to wardrobe). Groceries bought for lunches and snacks. Typing up all homework and organizing it so my mom knows what has to be done each night. AND those are just the things I can think of right now!
See...almost not worth it...if Britt makes me go to all the seminars and not get to shop much then it won't be worth it!!
