Star Gazing....

Last night Britt, our yahoos, and I had an impromptu star gazing session on the front lawn of our house. The kids had been lying in Carlie's room looking out the windows watching for meteors. Britt and I had taken Bentley out one last time before putting him to bed. Then Britt got a phone call. While he talked on the phone I started looking up at the stars. Then I heard some knocking. It was the kids banging on the window!
Next thing I knew we were all camped out on the sidewalk looking for signs of the perseid meteor shower!

Carlie even took a picture of Britt and me. Even though my hip looks out of joint! ha!

We saw a shooting star!!!!
Carlie did a happy dance!!!!!!

We stayed out for about an hour. Looking at stars, snuggling Bentley, and enjoying a fun family night in our pjs, lying on the sidewalk in our front yard...

Hope you all got to see some of the perseid shower. It won't be back for more than 100 years!!
