Thunder storms and Alabama football

So. Here I sit on this rain soaked Wednesday in Alabama. I've been to the brink of death and back in the last week. Well, maybe not exactly the brink of death, but at times it felt like it! Besides, I'm nothing if not dramatic.
So. It's quiet around here. TVs off...as usual. Kids are at school. B is at work. I only hear my sweet Bentley-dog rolling a golf ball, of all things, across the hardwood floor. In a minute, I'll hear him whine, because he's rolled it underneath a piece of furniture. So I'll interrupt this highly intriguing blog post just to get it for him.
Oooh. Thunder!
I'm just hoping it's not quite warm enough outside for tornadoes to begin popping up all over the state. Hot days and thunderstorms in Sweet Home Alabama do not mix. It's a recipe for literally disaster.
So. I've covered my near death sinus infection. The weather. My dog, kids, and husband. And if you are still reading, bless your heart! You are as bored as I am!!
Not that there isn't laundry to fold, or dishes to wash, or rooms to clean, floors to sweep, I just don't really feel like doing that right now.
So. How about the SEC?? With the exception of Georgia losing to OSU my conference looked pretty good. Even if Tennessee did play some middle school football team, then act like they knocked off Florida. Idiots. I hate Tennessee worse than just about any other school. I can't think of one I like less. I think I'm going to love hating Lane Kiffin even MORE than I loved to hate Fat Phil! Atleast Phil wasn't some hot shot that liked to shoot his mouth off. And I don't care who his daddy is. We Bama fans learned real quick, or not so real quick, that it don't matter who your daddy is! Even if your daddy is Don Shula!
So. I'm excited about college football season finally being here. Excited about the way Bama looked against VT the other night. But it's a long season. And anything can happen. Just ask Oklahoma.
